Dinius graduates from Upper Iowa University Natalie Dinius of Marshall graduated in May from Upper Iowa University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Black named to Berea College Dean’s List Elsa Black of Tracy has been named to the Spring 2021 dean’s list at Berea College. Avera Marshall Auxiliary scholarship winners announced The Avera Marshall Auxiliary has awarded five $1,000 scholarships to area High School graduates. Criteria for selection included academic excellence, participation in school activities, active community involvement, and a demonstrated interest in the health care professions. The 2021 scholarship recipients are Madelynn Brockman, Mackenna Eikhoff, Jaci Hubbard, Kiara Maeyaert, and Abigail Wendorff. Minnesota State system awarded DoEd grant

Kandy Noles-Stevens, assistant professor of Education/College Now, said the near-$1 million United States Department of Education (DoEd) grant awarded to the Minnesota State system for Open Education Resources (OER) textbooks and materials “could be a game-changer for Education students” at Southwest Minnesota State University. The grant is for $978,332 over three years and will establish the “Opening Opportunities for Teacher Education” program.
