Minnesota State University, Mankato awards degrees

Minnesota State University, Mankato awarded 2,276 degrees to 1,941 students at the end of the fall 2021 semester.

Marshall: Erin Geary, MS, elementary education; Amy Olson, BS, family consumer science, summa cum laude; Jacob Shaffer, BS, alcohol & drug studies. Tracy: MaiDee Vang, BS, communication studies, summa cum laude; PaNhia Vang, BS, community health education; Lina Vue, BS, exercise science. Tyler: Madeline Ekema, BS, marketing; Kayleigh Wendland, MSW, social work

Undergraduate students receiving recognition included 263 students graduating summa cum laude (3.8 grade-point average and higher), 258 students graduating magna cum laude (grade-point averages of 3.6 to 3.79) and 238 students graduating cum laude (grade-point averages of 3.4 to 3.59).

Augustana University names Presidential Scholars

Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, announced those students who have earned a Presidential Scholarship for Academic Year 2021-22. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence demonstrated through success in the classroom or through outstanding scores achieved on the ACT or SAT.

Johnson earns University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Abigail Johnson of Lynd was among 1,316 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 17 and 18 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Johnson earned a bachelor of science in business administration with distinction from the College of Business.
