Larson to graduate from WTS Vicar Sara Larson will graduate on May 14 from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, and completed her Master of Divinity through WTS while serving at First Lutheran Church and at the Avera Hospital and Morningside Nursing Home in Marshall. In October of 2020, she started at Borgund Lutheran outside Madison, Minnesota Valley Lutheran near Louisburg, and Zion in Appleton. In what appears to be an obscure story in the Old Testament book of 1 Kings, we find Elijah the Prophet being fed by ravens (the only bird known to hoard food); he is then by a starving widow from a place called Zarepheth. She obeys the prophet’s orders, as the Lord directed both of them to be tested in order that they might trust in the Lord’s provision and power. It’s an odd tale. Bauer awarded scholarships at DSU Joshua Bauer was recently awarded the Champion and Rising Scholarships at Dakota State University. The scholarships are awarded to high-achieving students based on ACT scores and high school GPA. “These Champion Scholarships drive our success in getting the best and brightest minds to Dakota State University,” said Jon Schemmel, CEO of the DSU Foundation.
