SMSU to have Trans Day of Visibility events

Southwest Minnesota State University is hosting a series of events for Trans Day of Visibility. The events are today and Thursday. The programs are focused on empowering and celebrating LGBTQIA+ students as well as creating safe and inclusive environments for students to live and learn. SMSU will host ‘Prairies, Potholes and Streams’ U of M Extension Minnesota Master Naturalist Class

The campus of Southwest Minnesota State University is the host site for “Prairies, Potholes and Streams in Southwest Minnesota,” a Minnesota Master Naturalist Class from the University of Minnesota Extension. Instructors for the class are Marshall residents, Candace and Will Thomas. The class will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 9 and continuing through May 9, from 6-8:30 p.m., for a total of 12 evening sessions plus two all-day Saturday field trips on April 20 and May 5. Marshall students earn recognition at Minnesota Business Professionals of America conference

Fifty students from Marshall participated in the annual Minnesota Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference March 14-16, at the Minneapolis Hyatt Regency with more than 1,100 members competing. There will be 14 prayer stations designed to bring you (and your family) into the Good Friday story.
