LaVoy senior recital to be April 21 at Lakeview

Carolyn Laufenburger, Redwood Falls, will present her vocal and piano student, Grace LaVoy, in a senior recital at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at the Lakeview School Auditorium in Cottonwood. The performance culminates a nearly a quarter century of LaVoys taking lessons from Laufenburger, with Grace being number five, and final of the Glen and Kathy LaVoy family. SMSU Student Association election results announced The Southwest Minnesota State University Student Association recently held the election for the 2024-2025 academic year. The turnout was an incredible display of student engagement with 618 students actively participating and completing ballots in the democratic process. Southwest Minnesota State University had a reception on March 27 to recognize employees who achieved work anniversary milestones and those who are or have retired in the current academic year between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
