COTTONWOOD — Services for James “Jim” Munson, 70, of Cottonwood will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the English Lutheran Church in Cottonwood.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the English Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, and will resume Saturday one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in the Hansonville Cemetery, rural Hendricks. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Hendricks is entrusted with the arrangements. He died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026 at the Hendricks Hospital, Hendricks, after a short battle with Myasthenia Gravis disease.

RUSSELL — Services for Steven "Louie" Lee Kaas, 56 of Russell will take place at Veterans Park in Minneota on Sept. 4, at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the Southwest Sportsman's Club in Minneota until 5 pm. An official service with military honors and burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with Horvath Funeral Service of Marshall. He died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., from complications of cancer.
