The students and staff at Marshall Area Technical and Educational Center (MATEC) would like to thank the Pride in the Tiger Foundation for awarding us a grant to be used for our Living on Your Own classes. The funds will go toward kitchen and food supplies which will help our students enhance their life skills by learning to cook. We are excited about this new opportunity in our school and look forward to the many entrees and desserts that the students will be making. We appreciate all the efforts that the Pride in the Tiger Foundation puts forth so that grants such as this can be used to help promote the education of the children in our community.

We would like to thank the Pride in the Tiger for granting us books to use in our second grade classrooms. These books (called decodables) are phonics skill based and we use them in small groups to help students read and practice the phonics skills they are learning. These funds allowed us put meaningful books into our students’ hands. Thank you Pride in the Tiger for supporting our students and our school!
