MINNEOTA — The Minneota volleyball team continued its strong season Monday, earning a three-set sweep over Lakeview at home to improve to 23-4 overall and 10-0 in conference play. The Vikings won the opening set 27-25 before taking a 25-23 decision in the second. Minneota then pulled away in the third set, winning 25-12 to complete the sweep. GRANITE FALLS — The Canby volleyball team used a strong serving performance and balanced contributions across the lineup to earn a three-set sweep over Yellow Medicine East on Monday. The Lancers defeated the Sting 25-20, 25-10, 25-20, taking control in the second set before closing out the match with another five-point victory in the third. Canby finished with 48 service points and nine aces while serving at an 87.8% success rate. MARSHALL – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s swimming & diving squad opened its home season on Saturday hosting a double dual with Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul inside the Don Palm Natatorium. SMSU closed the day suffering a 241-56 loss to MSU, while CSP defeated SMSU by a score of 194.5 to 103.5. MSU finished 2-0 on the day earning a 205-93 victory over CSP.
