Willmar 10, Marshall 1 WILLMAR — A pair of strong offensive innings by Willmar were too much for the Marshall softball team to overcome in the first game of its non-conference doubleheader on Monday. The Cardinals surged ahead with a five-run third inning and padded their lead with three more in the sixth en route to a 10-1 win over the Tigers. SECTION 3A TRUE-TEAM MEET PIPESTONE — The Murray County Central boys track and field team took first place at the Section 3A True-Team meet on Tuesday. The Rebels didn’t have any individual first-place finishers, but their depth proved more than enough as they came away with the win. MCC tallied 614.5 points, running away with the win over Luverne’s 544 and Southwest Minnesota Christian/Edgerton’s 517.
