MARSHALL — Just like the girls soccer team, the Marshall boys soccer team is also off to a 1-1-1 start through its first three matches of the season. The Tigers opened the season with a strong showing against Apollo, earning a 3-0 victory. Marshall followed that win with a road matchup against Breck a couple of days later, where the Tigers fell 3-1. The Tigers were back on the road Thursday night against Waseca, but neither team was able to find the back of the net. Marshall began the season with a challenging matchup against Chanhassen on its home court. COTTONWOOD — Coming off its first win of the season, Lakeview volleyball returned home looking to keep its momentum going against Murray County Central. The Lakers did just that, sweeping the Rebels 25-21, 25-21, 25-22 to improve to 2-1 on the season. St. Joseph, Mo. – The No. 10 ranked Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team (3-1) dropped a hard-fought 3-1 decision to No. 11 ranked Missouri Western State on Thursday night at the MWSU Fieldhouse. WORTHINGTON — Looking for its second meet victory of the season, Marshall girls tennis traveled to Worthington and kept the meet competitive throughout, but ultimately fell to the Trojans 6-1.
