WABASSO — A strong first set wasn’t enough to spark the Wabasso volleyball team to a Tomahawk Conference win over Cedar Mountain on Thursday. The Rabbits claimed the first game 25-20, but Cedar Mountain rattled off 25-15, 25-22, 25-23 wins from there to claim the match. Kenley Guetter was outstanding offensively for the Rabbits in the match, tallying 15 kills. DAWSON — The Dawson-Boyd volleyball team fell back to .500 on Thursday with a 25-11, 25-14, 25-19 loss to Renville County West in Camden Conference play. The Blackjacks got a solid performance from their defensive back row. Kate Gruwell and Emma Stotesbery logged 15 and 13 set assists, respectively, while Kadyn Perkins contributed another 11. DAWSON - After racking up over 400 yards of offense, Dawson-Boyd football was able to dominate Lac que Parle Valley en route to a 35-8 win. Quarterback Carson Stratmoen put together an incredible game in the air, going 8-9 on throws on the way to 142 yards and a touchdown. PRINSBURG — It took five hard-fought sets, but Minneota volleyball came away with a road victory over Central Minnesota Christian, improving to 2-0 in conference play and 8-2 overall.
