LAMBERTON — After dropping the first set of its non-conference match against Red Rock Central on Thursday, the Wabasso volleyball team rattled off three consecutive set victories to close out the regular season with a win.

The Falcons eked out a 25-23 win in the night’s first game, but Wabasso took control from there. The Rabbits defeated RRC 25-16 and 25-15 in the next two sets to take control, and edged out the Falcons 25-20 in the clincher.

Sara Carlson distributed the ball fairly evenly for the Rabbits tallying 41 set assists in the match as well as two solo and two assisted blocks. On the finishing end of Carlson’s sets, Camryn Irlbeck and Kenley Guetter led the way with 12 and 11 kills, respectively, while Carly Fenger and Leah Mathiowetz contributed seven and six.

Irlbeck also made a defensive impact with three block assists and two ace blocks, while Guetter led the back row with 15 digs. Audrey Johnson and Alexa Remiger chipped in 11 and eight digs, respectively, while Carlee Jenniges finished with an ace block and two block assists.

Natasha Erickson and Ally Linder led the Falcons’ defensive back row with 14 digs each, followed by another 13 from Amelia Ubl. Erickson also recorded 15 set assists and a pair of service aces in the match, while Ubl added one.

Offensively, Abby Evans and Ally Linder led the Falcons with nine and eight kills. Shylin Hagert and Paige Wondercheck logged four and three blocks at the net, respectively.

Guetter served three aces in the match while Remiger and Irlbeck each served up one.

Wabasso finishes its regular season at 18-11 while Red Rock Central closes at 4-16. The Rabbits enter the Section 3A tournament as the No. 5 seed in the North bracket, taking on No. 4 Canby in the subsection quarterfinals on Friday at 7 p.m. in Canby, while Red Rock Central is the No. 9 seed in the South bracket and heads to Edgerton to take on No. 8 Southwest Minnesota Christian in the play-in round on Monday at 7 p.m.
