Senior, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton

Ava Karbo is a senior middle blocker on the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton volleyball team. She was named an honorable mention in the Independent’s 2024 All-Area Volleyball Team, and was on the Knights’ 2023 state title run as a sophomore. She also plays on the girls basketball team. 

Q: Favorite color?

A: Red.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: I would say science and those types of classes.

Q: How long have you been playing volleyball?

A: Since like fifth grade.

Q: What is your favorite

volleyball memory so far?

A: Definitely going to state my

sophomore year. 

Q: What is your pre-game routine?

A: We do ‘Pump it Up’ together as a team, and we just also dance in the locker room [before] every single match.
