WABASSO — From the jump, the Adrian-Ellsworth football team had too much firepower for the Wabasso Rabbits to keep up with on Friday night. The Dragons dominated both sides of the ball and rolled to a 40-0 win.
Adrian-Ellsworth scored its first points of the game on a 40-yard pick-six by Mechack Ndikubuntu. Wabasso held the Dragons scoreless in the third quarter but a fourth-quarter kick return and a 31-yard rushing touchdown gave Adrian-Ellsworth another 12 fourth-quarter points.
Joe Liebl completed four of his 16 passes for 45 yards and an interception. The longest of those passes was a 31-yard completion to Boston Brand.
Sam Zeug led the Rabbits’ rushing attack with six carries for 15 yards.
