Tournament seedings and pairings announced
HOWARD LAKE — With the completion of region tournaments across the state, the Minnesota Baseball Association released the Class C Tournament bracket on Sunday night.
A panel of town ball experts announced the bracket live on the MBA’s YouTube channel from Howard Lake.
The Milroy Irish will face the Webster Sox Saturday night in Dundas, with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. The winner of that pairing will face the Monticello Polecats on Aug. 28.
The panel referred to Milroy’s opponent as a “Cinderella story,” pointing out that the Sox are only six years removed from a 51-game losing streak.
The three towns hosting the Class B and C tournaments in 2022 are Faribault, Dundas and Miesville.
Faribault is hosting for the first time since 1978, while Dundas and Miesville have not hosted the tournament in over 15 years.
“We haven’t been to southeastern Minnesota in a few years and I hope everyone gets out and supports their teams,” MBA president Mark Forsman said.
All games will be available to stream online for a fee from Neighborhood Sports Network at NSPN.TV, which recently rebranded from PrepSpotlight.TV.
