ALBERT LEA/WASECA — The Marshall softball team finished its regular season with a trio of victories on Saturday, defeating Albert Lea 8-0 and Waseca 11-0 in five innings and 5-0 in five innings in a doubleheader.

Against Albert Lea, Lauren Wherry led Marshall with two hits and two RBIs while Taylor Ariasola and Lexie Bednarek each added two hits and an RBI. Morgan Bjella earned the win in the circle, going seven innings while allowing no runs on two hits and struck out 13.

Against Waseca, in Game 1, Wherry led Marshall with three hits and three RBIs while Lexie Bednarek and Leah Schaefer each added two hits and three RBIs. Olivia Houseman earned the win in the circle, going five innings while allowing no runs on four hits and struck out six.

In Game 2, Brenna Springborg led Marshall with two hits and two RBIs while Ashleigh Steinbach added two hits and Randi Wendorff and Brielle Riess each had a hit and an RBI. Bjella earned the win in the circle, going five innings while allowing no runs on one hit and struck out 11.

Coby Brownlee led Marshall with two hits and an RBI while Lincoln Graven added two hits and Charlie Jacobson and Andrew Wallen each had a hit and an RBI. Jacobson earned the win on the mound, going seven innings while allowing no runs on one hit and struck out 12.
