THURSDAY PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: MCC boys basketball cruises past Edgerton

EDGERTON — The Murray County Central boys basketball team defeated Edgerton 72-29 on Thursday.

Tanner Graphenteen led MCC with 17 points while Nate Kleven added 13 and Chant Mitchell, Christian Tentinger, Aidan Dierks and Bryce Hoekman each recorded six. Kleven led in rebounds with nine while Graphenteen led in assists with six.

MCC (7-7) will face RRC at home on Monday at 7:15 p.m.

COTTONWOOD — The Lakeview boys basketball team defeated Renville County West 74-61 on Thursday.

Nathan Fenske and Owen Louwagie led Lakeview with 19 points each while Taiven Isaackson added 17. Lincoln Vogel led in rebounds with 10 while Louwagie led in assists with four.

Lakeview (13-2) will face CMCS on the road on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.

GRANITE FALLS — The Yellow Medicine East boys basketball team fell to Dawson-Boyd 70-62 on Thursday.

Bryce Sneller led YME with 24 points while Nikson Knapper added 12 and Cody Dahlager had eight. Sneller also led in rebounds with eight while Isaac Jimenez led in assists with five.

Keegon Wicht led DB with 24 points while Aiden Swenson and Brayson Boike each added 10. Swenson led in rebounds with 10 while Wicht led in assists with four.

YME (2-10) will face KMS on the road on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. while DB (9-4) will face Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (S.D.) on the road today at 2:30 p.m.

Kortney Leppke led Canby with 10 points while Paige Nelson added seven and Aidyn Bruns recorded six. Bruns led in rebounds with seven while Ryann Hansen led in steals with four.

Canby (9-7) will face LQPV at home on Monday at 7:15 p.m.
