SMSU CROSS COUNTRY: Mustangs compete today in Sauk Rapids

MARSHALL — The Southwest Minnesota State University women’s and men’s cross-country teams will have its final tune-up prior to the NSIC Championships today at the Bob Waxlax Invite hosted by St. Cloud State University at Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids.

The women’s 6,000-meter race begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by the men’s 8,000-meter race at 5:15 p.m. SMSU head coach Kirk Nauman is expected to have seven athletes compete in both the women’s and men’s race.

Today’s meet will be SMSU’s first since competing at the Wayne State meet on Sept. 24.

The NSIC Championships will be held on Oct. 23 in Wayne, Neb.
