SMSU ATHLETICS: SMSU student-athletes produce another strong semester

MARSHALL – Despite dealing with unique challenges for a second straight semester, Southwest Minnesota State University student-athletes closed a strong academic year with 92 named to the 2021 Spring semester Dean’s List, with 20 earning High Honors.

There are two Honors categories for the Dean’s List. An undergraduate student who completes 12 or more A-F graded credits and achieves a grade-point-average of 3.5 or higher earns Honors. If a 4.0 grade-point-average is achieved, the student earns High Honors.

Combining with the 2020 Fall semester, a total of 207 SMSU student-athletes were named to the Dean’s List with 45 earning High Honors during the 2020-21 academic year. Nearly 400 SMSU student-athletes finished the academic year with a combined 3.02 GPA.

Congrats SMSU student-athletes on an outstanding 2020-21. Everyone in SMSU Athletics can’t wait to see everyone back for an even stronger 2021-22.
