PREP ATHLETICS: Big South announces All-Conference teams for spring sports

MARSHALL — The Big South Conference recently announced its All-Conference teams for baseball, softball and golf and multiple Marshall athletes made the list.

Baseball

In baseball, in the Big Division, Josh Baker, Connor Neubeck, Cole Felcyn and Charlie Jacobson made it for Marshall. Joining them on the All-Conference team are Theo Giedd and Josh Robb (St. Peter), Evan Wiltscheck, Carter Lang, Jaden Drill, Hunter Sehr, Ethan Stade, Cole Ranweiler and Sam Keckeisen (New Ulm), Jack Kosbab (Fairmont), Zach Hoehn and Carter McQuery (Waseca), Kent Lais and Danny Pavelko (Worthington).

On the Honorable Mention team, Chase Douglas and Brock Schultz made it for Marshall. Joining them are Isaiah Miller (New Ulm), Brogan Hanson (St. Peter), Jake Brandner (Worthington) and Zander Fitzsimmons (Waseca).

In the Small Division, Ethan Beyer, Cade Wenninger, Casey Sehr, Bailey Cowell and Connor Connell (Luverne), Dawson Kellen, Dawson Schelhaas and Austin Johnson (Pipestone Area), Cade Schiller (Redwood Valley), Jesus Moriel (St. James Area), Connor Redman and Kade Sammons (Windom Area), Anders Fering, Logan O’Hara and Anthony Carr (Blue Earth Area) and Gavin Jacobsen, Levi Lindley and Damien Phaly (Jackson County Central) made All-Conference. Cole Lueck (Pipestone Area), Noah Armstrong and Austin Doorenbos (Windom Area), Kean Hicks and Keegan O’Brien (Blue Earth Area), Braydon Ripka (Luverne), Alex Lang (Redwood Valley) and Lucas Vesey and Leighton Polz (JCC) made the Honorable Mention team.

Softball

In softball, in the Big Division, Leah Schaefer and Olivia Houseman made it for Marshall. Joining them on the All-Conference team are Maya Pettis, McKenna Van Zee, Sophia Doherty, Grace Remmert and Ryenne Pettis (St. Peter), Haley Grimmius, Sophie Wietzema, Olivia Hayenga and Lauren Nelson (Worthington), Miranda Suess, Gracie Linbo and Laura Bertrang (New Ulm), Allison Janssen and Anna Ehlert (Fairmont) and Jadyn Olsem and Isabel DenOuden (Waseca).

On the Honorable Mention team, Ashleigh Steinbach made it for Marshall. Joining her is Dani Johnson, Lauren Niemeyer and Lilly Ruffin (St. Peter), Maddie O’Connor and Amber Gleisner (New Ulm), Taylor Ponto (Worthington) Cassidy Schultz (Fairmont) and Haylee Sommers (Waseca).

In the Small Division, MacKenzie Manderscheid, Jesse Reinert, Kayla Hubbling, Nicole Pals and Melody Redmund (Pipestone), Maddie Brey, Chloe Mickelson, Addie Bowers, Taylor Sodeman and Kelsey Grunewald (St. James Area), Ellie Maricle, Jenna Brockman and Kaitlee Huska (Windom Area), Roz Oye and Bill Connell (Luverne), Alexis O’Reilly (JCC), McKenna Dutton (Blue Earth Area) and Ella Stoneberg (Redwood Valley) made All-Conference.

Madelyn Wiese (Pipestone Area), Jaelyn Haler (St. James Area), Jenna Veenker (Windom Area), Ainslie Robinson and Carly Olson (Luverne), Maia Reed and Molly Turner (JCC), Miya Gustafson (Blue Earth Area) and Mia Means (Redwood Valley) made the Honorable Mention team.

Boys Golf

In boys golf, Luke Ehlers and Jayden Manthei made it for Marshall. Joining them on the All-Conference team are Braden Gudahl, Gavin Storbeck, Manning Lane, Ashton Lloyd and Max Ehrich (Blue Earth Area), Alexander Moeller, Jacob Harris and Brock Lutterman (Fairmont), Kendall Nicolai and Kaiden Brovold (St. Peter), Connor Josephson (Redwood Valley), Henry Hartquist (Luverne), Braxton Thompson (Pipestone Area), Sam Brinkman (JCC), Tyler Jaycox (Worthington) and Griffin Seifert (Waseca).

Girls Golf

In girls golf, Brooklyn Gossen made it for Marshall. Joining her on the All-Conference team is Megan Nelson (Waseca), Emma Budden (Pipestone Area), Maggy Totzke, Anika Haugen, Brynn Gustafson and Solveig Senf (Fairmont), Adrianna Bixby, Mia Hansen and Audra Bixby (St. Peter), Julian Brown, Payden Beran and Mila Jenniges (Redwood Valley), Paige Dreckman (New Ulm), Regan Farmer (JCC), Morgan Gonnerman and Lauren Hansen (Luverne), Kendall Nixon (Worthington) and Allie Ward (Windom Area).
