Marshall A’s come from behind to defeat Willmar

MARSHALL — The Marshall A’s defeated the Willmar Rails 4-2 on Sunday.

Zach Olson went 3 for 4 with two RBI to lead the A’s to the win.

Olson came up to the plate with runners on the corners and two outs in the 7th, and he hit a single to drive in Matt Hmielewski for the go-ahead run.

He also threw three innings of relief work on the mound, allowing one earned run on no hits with two strikeouts.

Hmielewski also added a double and two runs scored in the win.

Marshall (2-1, 2-0 Corn Belt) will travel to Brookings (S.D.) on Wednesday.

Ruthton 3

MILROY — The Milroy Irish defeated the Ruthton Royals 10-3 on Sunday.

Cody Mather earned the win on the mound and struck out eight batters in the win.

Ben Heichel went 3 for 4 with a double and a triple, while also driving in a run.

Jake Plaetz and Dominic Dolan added doubles in the win.

Milroy (3-1, 2-0 Gopher) will host Hadley on Wednesday.
