PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Minneota cruises past DB, 3-0

MINNEOTA – The Minneota volleyball team defeated Dawson-Boyd 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-13) on Thursday.

Abby Hennen led the way for Minneota with 13 kills while Natalee Rolbiecki and Abby Frie each added nine. Hennen also led in digs with 10 while Elle Pesch added seven and McKenna Yost led in set assists with 18 while Ireland Stassen added 14.

Karoline Dahl led the way for DB with eight kills while Kate Dahl added seven and Ayiana Hastad recorded six. Tarah Johnson led in digs with six while Kyndall Franzky had five and Franzky led in set assists with 11 while Chelsie Husby added 10.

Minneota (3-0) will face CMCS today at 7:15 p.m. while DB (0-4) will face RTR on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

TMB 3, LQPV 0

TRACY — The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton volleyball team defeated Lac qui Parle Valley 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-17) on Thursday.

Jadyn Lessman led the way for TMB with 13 kills while Kylie Hensch added 10 and Sheridan Ludeman recorded six. Kiarra Danielson led in digs with 21 while Margaret Dolan added 12 and Maddi Langerock led in set assists with 35.

TMB (4-0) will face KMS on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Canby 3, RCW 0

RENVILLE — The Canby volleyball team defeated Renville County West 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-14) on Thursday.

Gabby Harding and Maya Wente led the way for Canby with 11 kills each while Mackenzie Janiszeski added six. Kyla Rangaard led in digs with five while Rachel Harding led in set assists with 19 and Paige Nelson added 12.

Canby (3-1) will face CMCS on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.

Wabasso 2

HECTOR — The Wabasso volleyball team fell to Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart 3-2 (17-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-22, 7-15) on Thursday.

Bella Brand led the way for Wabasso with 11 kills while Halle Huhnerkoch added nine and Ashlyn Daub had seven. Avery Carlson led in digs with 27 while Brand added 17 and Huhnerkoch had 16. Kelsey Frank led in set assists with 31.

Wabasso (0-4) will face Springfield on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

WWG 3,

Edgerton 0

EDGERTON — The Westbrook-Walnut Grove volleyball team defeated Edgerton 3-0 (25-9, 25-17, 25-16) on Thursday.

Ivy Paplow and Olivia Klumper led the way for WWG with seven kills each while Emma Wahl led in digs with 24. Lexi Herding led in set assists with 17 while Wahl added five serving aces.

WWG (3-2) will face MLA/Comfrey on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.

RTR 3, KMS 0

TYLER — The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton volleyball team defeated Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-17) on Thursday.

Ella Hesse led the way for RTR with 11 kills while Haley Muenchow added 10 and Abby Carr had seven. Maddi Wendland led in digs with 21 while Kalleigh Carr added 18, Hesse had 15 and McKinley Schreurs had 13. Schreurs led in set assists with 19 while Kalleigh Carr added 18.

RTR (4-0) will face Dawson-Boyd on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

YME 3, CMCS 2

PRINSBURG — The Yellow Medicine East volleyball team defeated CMCS 3-2 (25-20, 17-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-6) on Thursday.

Alli Steffen led the way for YME with 14 kills while Yansi Flores added nine and Jadyn Sakry had seven. Flores led in digs with 25 while Kiara Sakry added 21 and Steffen had 20. Aria Peters led in set assists with 34.

YME (2-2) will face LQPV on Saturday at 11 a.m.

MCC 3, SWC 2

EDGERTON — The Murray County Central volleyball team defeated SWC 3-2 (21-25, 25-18, 16-25, 25-18, 15-7) on Thursday.

Emily Rohrer and Bryn Hoekman led the way for MCC with 10 kills each while Sophie Larson added nine. Kylie Frisk led in digs with 31 while Amber Boock added 24 and Camdyn Kluis had 21. Brynn Graphenteen led in set assists with 35.

MCC (2-3) will face Edgerton on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
