SMSU Athletics and Marshall Radio partner with three radio shows for Mustang fans

MARSHALL — Southwest Minnesota State University Athletics and Marshall Radio are pleased to announce several radio shows that will air on local airways and also be available via podcast to help promote SMSU Athletics, its outstanding student-athletes and also look back at outstanding Mustang memories.

Marshall Radio’s and “The Voice of SMSU Athletics”, Ryan Rohlik, will host the three weekly shows on the stations of Marshall Radio. All three shows will air live on MarshallRadio.net and will also be available via download on SoundCloud at MarshallRadio.net.

The long-standing weekly show, “Saturday Morning Mustang” returns again this fall starting today at 9:05 a.m. on 1400 AM KMHL. The weekly one-hour show airs each Saturday with Rohlik, SMSU Director of Athletics Chris Hmielewski and SMSU Athletic Communications Director Kelly Loft and features updates on SMSU Athletics along with interviews with SMSU head coaches.

Two new shows will also air on Marshall’s all-sports station, 1075. FM The Fan.

Each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. “Meet the Mustang” with air with Rohlik conducting in-depth interviews with SMSU student-athletes and head coaches. The first show will air on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

On Friday night’s at 6:30, Rohlik and Loft will host “Mustang Memory”, which will look back at Mustang memories and feature in-depth interviews and stories with former SMSU student-athletes and coaches from the past 50-plus years of Mustang Athletics. The first show is schedule to air on Friday, Sept. 18.

Marshall Radio also plans to rebroadcast selected memorable SMSU games from over the past 15 years several times during the next few months.
