PREP BASKETBALL: Big South Conference announces boys and girls All-Conference teams

MARSHALL — The Big South Conference announced its all-conference teams for boys and girls basketball and multiple Marshall players made the list.

Boys

In the Big South Conference West Division, Noah Puetz, Matt Hmielewski and Bryce Lance were the three representatives on the all-conference team from Marshall. Joining them are Rudy Voss and Andrew Hesebeck (Jackson County Central), JT Tinklenberg (Pipestone Area), Connor Josephson and Bryant Haas (Redwood Valley) and Terbuto Ochothow (Worthington).

In the Big South Conference East Division, Cameron Anderson and Austin Thiefoldt made the all-conference team from Blue Earth Area, while Wyatt Frank and Zach Jorgensen also made the team from Fairmont. Joining them are Reece Melby (New Ulm), Hayden Jones and Logan Carlson (St. James Area), Wyatt Olson and Kaden Oeltjenbruns (St. Peter), and Andrew Morgan, Ryan Dufault and Kyreese Willingham (Waseca).

Yahya Black was the lone representative from Marshall on the honorable mention team in the west division. He’s joined by Bailey Cowell (Luverne), Dawson Kellen (Pipestone), Conner Redman (Windom) and Brock Bruns (Worthington).

Carter Bell (Fairmont), Ethan Grant (St. Peter) and Matt Seberson (Waseca) were all named to the east division honorable mention team.

Girls

In the Big South Conference West Division, Jordyn Hilgemann, Emily Meier and Lenei Estrada were the three representatives from Marshall on the all-conference team. Joining them are Alaina Wolff (JCC), Mallory Thorson and Brooklyn Ver Steeg (Luverne), Zoe Velde (Pipestone), Haley Garman (Redwood Valley), Allison Letcher (Windom) and Madisyn Huisman (Worthington).

In the Big South Conference East Division, Gus Boyer, Hannah Potter and Rachel Breck were Waseca’s representatives on the all-conference team. They’re joined by Arika Howard (Blue Earth Area), Cadee Becker and Madysen Allen (Fairmont), Hannah Osborne and Kirsten Dennis (New Ulm), Sarah Conlon and Morgan Kelly (St. Peter).

Sadie Voss (JCC), Aubree Hicks (Redwood Valley), Delaney Smith (Windom), Payton Sauerbrei and Sophie Wietzma (Worthington) were all named to the west division honorable mention team.

Bryn Miller (Fairmont), Olivia Wick (New Ulm), Josie Wiebusch (St. Peter), Jaelyn Haler and Chloe Mickelson (St. James Area) were all named to the east division honorable mention team.
