CANBY — The Canby volleyball team defeated Wabasso 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-12) on Monday night.

Brooke Nelson led the way for the Lancers with 12 kills while Maya Wente added seven and Charlotte Wright had six. Cassidy Hunt led in digs with 17 while Brooke Nelson added seven and Kyla Rangaard had six. Rachel Harding led in set assists with 23 while Paige Nelson added 13. Wente led in blocks with three.

Cora Eichten and Halle Huhnerkoch led the way for the Rabbits with seven kills each. Sarah Franta led in digs with nine while Avery Carlson led in set assists with nine. Eichten and Kelsey Fischer led in blocks with one each.

Canby will now head to the Section 3A tournament and will face the winner of No. 6 CMCS and No. 11 RCW on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in Canby. while Wabasso will face WWG today at 7:15 p.m.

Shelby Christensen led in kills with nine while Bryn Hoekman added seven and Emily Rohrer had six. Brianna Schmitz led in digs with 20 while Camdyn Kluis added 19 and Amber Boock had 13. Brynn Graphenteen led in set assists with 13 while Schmitz added 12. Hoekman led in blocks with three while Morgan Clarke added two.

MCC will face Luverne on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

Emma Wahl led the way for the Chargers with five kills while Alli VandeKieft and Camryn Bunting each added three. Wahl also led in digs with 18 while Lexi Herding added nine. Herding led in set assists with nine while Halle Steen had five, and Bunting and Kelsey DeSmith led in blocks with one each.

WWG (13-13) will face Wabasso tonight at 7:15 p.m.
