After weeks of discussion and speculation on whether the Minnesota Vikings would trade up to secure their choice at quarterback, the Vikings moved up one spot from No. 11 in order to select Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy with the No. 10 pick of the first round in the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday.

The Chicago Bears kicked off the draft proceedings by selecting USC quarterback Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall.
