FAIRMONT — Fairmont only needed seven innings to defeat Hadley 11-1 in Game 1 of the Region 13C championship series on Wednesday.

The Buttermakers scored their lone run in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to 2-1, but Fairmont went on to score nine unanswered runs to secure the victory.

Individual statistics were not available at press time.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series will be played Saturday in Hadley, with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
