NCAA GOLF: Former Tiger golfer Ana Schwarz helps lead Bethel to Top 10 finish at Wartburg Invitational

WAVERLY, Iowa – The Bethel University women’s golf team competed in the Wartburg Women’s Fall Invite this past weekend in Waverly, IA. The Royals finished eighth out of 16 teams in the meet as they improved six strokes from round one to round two.

Ana Schwarz was the top golfer for BU at the conclusion of day one as she shot a 78 in the first round. Schwarz dropped three strokes on day two to finish T-10th out of 96 golfers. Nicole Miller also started her weekend off strong with a 79 on day one and finished even stronger with a -2 (70) second round score. Thanks to her impressive Sunday performance, Miller finished the weekend T-4th with a total score of 149 (+6). Katie Engelking finished T-35th with a final score of 164 (+21).

Next up for the Royals is the D3 Classic to be held at the Jewel Golf Club in Lake City on Sept. 15-16.
