On the Porch
There is one more week to view the Eighth Annual Indoor Christmas Tree Walk at the Lyon County Museum along with the museum decorated for the holiday season. The museum had to close on Nov. 21-Jan. 10 due to the Minnesota executive orders, so we extended the tree walk and leaving the decorations up. The contest for the tree walk goes through January 30th. There is more information on our Facebook page under events and on our website: www.lyoncomuseum.org under Christmas Tree Walk.
In addition to the trees, the Heritage Room exhibit, the Retail Exhibit, front entry, conference room, and second floor exhibit will remain decorated through January 30. The museum’s hours for the rest of the month are Monday-Friday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday noon to 7 p.m. The museum has three floors of exhibits to explore, a gift shop, research center, and the ice cream shop. If you would like to see the trees and holiday decorations but don’t have time to stop in the next week, we have photos and video online to view. Visit our Facebook page, website, or YouTube channel to see photos and video of the museum decorated.
