No penalty for gravel haulers

To the editor: Thomas Paine argued the government of our nation should have two purposes: protecting private property, and securing the free market. Apparently, Minnesotans never did get that colonial memo. Any government allowing private gravel carriers to damage other vehicles by failing to require loads be tarped, refusing to penalize irresponsible parties, and offering disingenuous excuses to victims of such preventable injuries… is deserving of absolute contempt. To the editor: The hydra is a tiny animal that does not appear to die. Cut it in pieces! Each part regenerates. In legend, Hercules fought a many headed monster hydra. As he cut off each head, two more emerged. Finally, Hercules cut off heads as his nephew burned the Hydra’s stumps to kill it. Like the hydra, evil never stops. It takes a village

The motto, "It takes a village to raise a child" holds true in all cases. The Marshall Tiger girls (basketball team) took the third place state title on Saturday, March 14. When those girls made their way onto the court, you could see it in their eyes; they were going to take this win. I knew this was going to be an exciting game and it was. However, just as exciting was seeing the crowd that made their way to St. Paul to watch this game. All the money can’t replace resources

It is very disheartening to see the future, in the form of Braxton Seifert, arguing for cheaper energy prices at the expense of clean air and potable water and good soil. Money will not replace the Earth's resources. It is only right that big corporations should be held responsible for damage they cause to our planet in the name of providing us energy. Evidence for a young earth

The 3-6-2026 ‘Triceratops skeleton…’ stated the price of a set of dinosaur bones can now bring up to $44 million, mainly due to a new shift toward objects that have “cultural resonance.” Also states the bones are 66 million years old; but are they? Recent discoveries of soft tissue in dinosaur bones tells me they were probably buried rapidly in far less than a million years ago, thereby avoiding complete tissue decay.
