Are we really better off today than four years ago?
To the editor:
It matters who you elect. When Biden was President, Republicans were complaining that gas went up to $3.30. Now that gas has gone up to $4.55 under their leadership, they don’t have a care in the world. No criticism of what Trump did all on his own. No urgency to lower prices. Gas and diesel prices being at highs above what they were under Biden.
That is only the start of the problem. Fertilizer is up and what will follow, food prices are going to be going even higher. Republicans with a bad memory: Trump said prices of groceries were going to go down 50% on day one, just like he told you Mexico was going to pay for the wall. The pattern is that Trump is a liar.
In his first term the Washington post fact checker team counted over 35,000 lies in just four years, but yet Republicans still voted for a convicted Felon. Now here we are stuck with beef prices so high, that it is mostly unaffordable for the majority of people. Trump tells you it is Bidens fault, who has not been President for over 15 months. Then in the next breath he tells you he thought it would be even higher, it will all be over in two weeks, that was ten weeks ago.
Trump is the one that tore up the nuclear agreement with Iran, that was signed by six countries and the EU. In the agreement Iran agreed to not seek a nuclear weapon and according to the inspectors Iran was following the agreement. I Believe Trump tore up the agreement because of his jealousy of President Obama.
He could have just done a renegotiation to get what he wanted. He sends over Jared and Witkoff, who know nothing about nuclear weapons. It took two years with dozens of nuclear experts from several countries to come to the agreement that was signed.
Are we better off today than we were four years ago? I believe we are far worse off in our security and economy, as well as medically after Trumps big bill that raised my medical premiums over 200%. Now adding one billion taxpayer dollars for the ballroom.
