To the editor: One spring break, I eagerly shadowed a doctor at Avera in Marshall. A patient came in, and the doctor began asking the typical questions: “Do you have any allergies?”, “What medicines are you taking?” Usually when we answer, the doctor comments and then continues. But this instance was different. To the editor: The recent visit by (Volodymyr) Zelenskyy to the White House was another indicator of the efforts of 45 to destroy American global leadership, join the axis of evil and bow to Putin. Township residents urged to attend meeting

To the editor: On March 11, every resident of Minnesota’s 1,776 townships has the unique opportunity to participate in Township Day. This annual event is a chance for residents to engage directly with their local government in a way that sets townships apart from other forms of governance. The annual meeting held on Township Day allows residents to have a direct say in how their township is run, including voting on important matters such as next year’s tax levy. To the editor: Re: Feb. 19, use common sense on ‘anchor baby’ issue This is my opinion on the 14th Amendment and additional information I have studied. That opinion, along with what the Supreme Court has ruled, is neither, right nor wrong, until an actual Constitutional Amendment is ratified to the 14th Amendment. 160 years ago, the 14th Amendment of our Constitution established the foundation that, anyone born in the country is a US citizen. Letter confusing the issue

To the editor: Re: Feb. 19 where would Trump send me? Dr. Thomas J. Williford’s letter is based on probabilities and assumptions. His ancestors entered this country “legally” through Ellis Island. They become citizens through the legal process. However, his letter attempts to confuse the issue in order to make his point that actually debunks everything else he says that follows with his statement “her mother was born in the U.S., but her grandparents were probably not naturalized at the time”.
