Trump bringing happiness to millions of Americans

To the editor: I am so grateful that President Trump is our president. His many successes in less than 10 months fill me with pride and optimism for the future. His latest accomplishment of brokering peace in Gaza and the Middle East has been labeled historic and remarkable by leaders from around the world. Many prominent Democrats are also praising Trump for ending the war in Gaza and his other diplomatic initiatives for world peace. Trump has shown the entire world how important strong American leadership, coupled with military readiness, is to world peace. President Trump has ...

Anti-Bullying ‘Spirit Day’

To the editor: In a country where too many leaders model bullying, revenge and retribution, we can stand up and lead in a way that builds inclusive caring communities. We can stand up for people who are excluded and all too often bullied. Enter, Spirit Day — a day to create awareness of the bullying and harassment that the LGBTQ. community faces all too often. (I pray that conversion “therapy” is not added to their mistreatment.) Spirit Day is a day to spark lasting empathy understanding and support. Sadly LGBTQ youth and adults are harassed and targeted simply because of their ...

In support of education

To the editor: The Pride in the Tiger Foundation Board of Directors, are proud to stand in support of Marshall Public Schools and the levy referendum on Nov. 4. Every day, we see how opportunities change lives. A student finding their voice in the school musical. A kindergartner getting the extra help they need from a classroom aide. A high schooler discovering a future career path through business or agriculture classes. These moments matter. They shape confidence, spark dreams, and prepare students for what comes next. The levy is about protecting student opportunities. Without ...

RENT tells important story

To the editor: Last weekend I had the great fortune to attend the Lake Benton Opera House production of “RENT.” I want to applaud the entire cast, crew, and production team for making the choice to bring this powerful piece of theater to our area. RENT told an important story at the time it came out, and I was struck again with the powerful storytelling put forward by this production. Producing RENT in this current political, economic, and social context placed unapologetic value on the story and themes. We can tell stories through art that are sometimes hard to hear or listen to ...

Life under Trump Administration not so rosy

Life under Trump Administration not so rosy To the editor: The economy is in shambles, grocery prices are up, car insurance, home and medical insurance are going up as much as 300% in some areas. What is Trump worried about? The Super Bowl halftime entertainment, Bad Bunny, who is an American citizen. I believe Republicans call that going woke. Then just to add to the fire, Trump is sending 20 billion dollars to Argentina to help their economy. Oh, and by the way, China is buying soybeans from them instead of the USA. Last year under President Joe Biden, China bought 13 billion ...

Stay tune as we become great again

To the editor: Our illustrious leader has things moving so fast that it’s hard to keep track of his glorious achievements, but suffice it to say that latest developments are a huge step forward in the MAGA agenda. Initially, Alligator Alcatraz has successfully incarcerated some 1,800 immigrants, 1,200 of whom ICE currently has no record. Next, is the war-torn city of Portland where two of my classmates reside, and where it seems (Trump) has decided troops should occupy due to the situation. Also, just this week, a court has ordered You-Tube to pay (Trump) 24.5 million dollars ...
