The motto, “It takes a village to raise a child” holds true in all cases. The Marshall Tiger girls (basketball team) took the third place state title on Saturday, March 14. When those girls made their way onto the court, you could see it in their eyes; they were going to take this win. I knew this was going to be an exciting game and it was.

However, just as exciting was seeing the crowd that made their way to St. Paul to watch this game. They didn’t have a player that was a daughter and/or granddaughter; they just showed up and cheered for them. Also, let’s not forget all the spectators watching online and sending me/us/all texts and well wishes. It was amazing and melted my heart.Thank you.

It does take a village to raise a child…all our children.
