ECHO — Visitation for John Chmelar, 81, of Echo will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo. A celebration of life will be at the Echo Community Center beginning at 12:30 p.m. He died Sunday, May 5, 2024, in his home surrounded by his wife and children.
BALATON — Services for Rose Ellen Wheeler, 90, will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Balaton. A public visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Balaton, with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Balaton following the memorial service. Upon conclusion of the graveside service there will be a luncheon at the Balaton Community Center. She died Saturday, May 4, 2024, in her home, surrounded by loved ones.
