MARSHALL—The funeral service for Omar W. Johnson, 95, of Marshall, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment with military honors will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall. MARSHALL — A private family service for Robert “Bob” DeVries, 76, of Marshall will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Horvath Funeral Service of Marshall. He died unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at his residence.

CANBY — Services for Nina Benz, 92, of Canby will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the St. Stephens Cemetery, Canby.  Houseman Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. She died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at the Hendricks Community Hospital Nursing Home in Hendricks.

Aug. 6, 1931- Sept. 22, 2024 Shirley Darlene (Wussow) Wurscher, 93, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, at Renville Health Services in Renville. Stephens Funeral Service - Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. She was born Aug. 6, 1931, to August and Alma (Schaffenberg) Wussow in Mankato. Survivors include her three children, Betty Lecy of Belview, Tom of Milroy and Dave of Sioux Falls, S.D.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
