Jack Hennen

MARSHALL — Services for Jack Hennen will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. A luncheon will follow the service, with burial taking place afterward at St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery in Ghent. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. He died peacefully Saturday, May 3, 2025, at his home in Marshall, surrounded by his loving family under the care of Prairie Home Hospice.

Virgel Munsinger

BALATON — Services for Virgel Munsinger, 91, of Luverne and formerly of Balaton, are at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. Following some light refreshments, burial with military honors will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Balaton. He died Monday, May 5, 2025, at Minnesota Veteran’s Home in Luverne.

Dec. 8, 1934-May 2, 2025 WILMONT — Services for Donna Bertrand, 90, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church Wilmont. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, with the rosary at 4 p.m., at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont and one hour prior to the service at the church Friday. GHENT — Mass of Christian Burial for Patrick “Pat” Joseph Byrne, 83, of Ghent will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent. Public visitation will take place Saturday morning at church, beginning at 9 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place at St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery following the funeral mass. Upon conclusion of the graveside service a luncheon will be provided at church. Arrangements are with Horvath Funeral Service of Marshall. He died March 8, 2025, Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

SLAYTON — Services for David “Dave” Herrig, 70, of Slayton will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. at the church, and one hour prior to the services at the church Saturday. Burial is at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Slayton. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements. He died Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Murray County Medical Center in Slayton.

LAMBERTON — Services for Amanda Muecke Pankonin, 24, of Lamberton will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, and one hour prior to the services at the church Thursday. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to any Minnwest Bank for Amanda and Hunter’s son, Judson Ponkonin. She died Saturday, May 3, 2025, at her home.
