MARSHALL—With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas (Tommy) Robert Schroeder who died July 31, 2026, at the age of 45. Tommy was born April 21, 1981, in Marshall, MN to Robert and Carol (Wischer) Schroeder and sister Amy. He lived a life marked by servant leadership, friendship and dedication. Tommy was baptized at Holy Redeemer in Marshall, MN and attended Holy Redeemer School. Tom enlisted in the Air Force after graduating from Marshall Senior High in 1999. RUSSELL — Services for Maxine Wilmes, 98, formerly of Russell, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Christ Ev. Lutheran Church in Marshall. HANLEY FALLS — A memorial service commemorating the life of Larry Caron, 81, of Hanley Falls will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Life Church in Marshall. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Horvath Remembrance Center and will continue one hour prior to the service, He died Monday, Aug. 4, 2026, under the care of Prairie Home Hospice at his residence in Hanley Falls.
