Visitation will be from 3:30-5:45 p.m. Sunday at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, with a rosary at 5:45 p.m. and a prayer service to follow. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno.
COTTONWOOD — A private, family funeral service honoring the life of Thomas “Tom” Schmidt, 72, of Cottonwood will take place at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood. A public visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the church. He will be interred at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Cottonwood. He died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug.15, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

EMPORIA, KS—Carol “Yvonne” (Dudley) Rossillon, age 91, of Emporia, Kansas, died of cancer on August 11, 2025. She lived. She died. She didn’t want us to make a big fuss about this obituary. Yvonne went to Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas. She met Joseph P. Rossillon, and they were married July 2, 1955, after he had served in the Army at the end of the Korean War.
