Pearcy gets probation for wrongfully obtaining assistance charges

MARSHALL — A Marshall business owner received five years of probation for charges of wrongfully obtaining medical assistance, court records said. Thomas Scott Pearcy, 55, will also need to pay more than $90,000 in restitution, court records said. Pearcy appeared in Lyon County District Court at a sentencing hearing Tuesday, court records said. Earlier this summer, Pearcy entered an Alford plea to three counts of wrongfully obtaining assistance. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Visitation will continue Monday one hour prior to the service, 10- 11 a.m. at the church. Burial with military honors will follow the service at St. Luke’s Church Cemetery. He died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at his residence.
