COTTONWOOD — Services for Shirley Javens, 92, of Cottonwood are 1 p.m. Monday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Following a light reception, burial will be at the Cottonwood City Cemetery in Cottonwood. Visitation will be held leading up to her celebration of life, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, also at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall.
SLAYTON — Services for Ken Knuth, 85, will be 10:30 a.m. today at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on at the church. Burial is at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Slayton.
BALATON — Lois Giles, 83, of Balaton, died peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Residing on a small farm near Verdi, Minnesota, Dale acquired his passion for farming and animal husbandry at an early age helping with the cattle, chicken, and hog chores. After the death of Dale’s mother in 1962, the family would eventually move to the homestead south of Tyler which would become his lifelong home. Rosalie Hargreaves (Felcyn) died peacefully in her sleep on October 28 of natural causes. Rose was born on August 29, 1950 in Canby MN to Margaret and Joseph Felcyn. As a young adult, Rosalie joined the Job Corps and moved to St. Lous Missouri. She lived most of her adult life in the Marshall, New Ulm, and Mankato areas and worked for Heartland Foods, and Taylor corp. Rosalie had many interests including bonfires, reading country western stories, horses, drawing, puzzles, and solving crosswords.
