MARSHALL–Bruce Lamprecht, age 73, of Marshall, Minnesota, entered his Heavenly home on Friday, January 16, 2026. He died with Vicki by his side at the Prairie Home Hospice – Lockwood House in Marshall. Memorial Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall, Minnesota. A luncheon for attendees will follow in the church basement. Visitation will be one hour prior to his celebration, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at the church. Bruce Noel Lamprecht was born on December 21, 1952, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. His early years were spent on a farm near Holloway before moving to Tracy in the eighth grade. After graduating from high school, Bruce attended Moorhead State College where he graduated with a business and marketing degree.
Bruce was united in marriage to Vicki Stone in 1978, and the couple moved to Marshall in 1979. Bruce’s strong work ethic was apparent while he managed the food service department at Southwest State College, worked as hotel manager of the Best Western Marshall Inn, and served as business director for Marshall Public Schools. After retiring in 2018, Bruce and Vicki enjoyed winters spent in Arizona.
Bruce was a faith-filled man who left an impact on the community through his involvement in Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce, Meals on Wheels, Hope Harbor, Pride in the Tiger Foundation, and First Lutheran Church. His dedication outside the community included work with the Minnesota Association of Business Officials, Innovative Quality Schools, and he served as the finance chair for his Arizona community.
His enjoyments in life included hiking, biking, golf, tennis, traveling, and sharing cherished moments with friends. He and Vicki made many lasting memories over the years with dear friends and neighbors. Bruce will leave a legacy of humor, kindness, and perseverance. His loving spirit will be carried forward by those that knew him.
Bruce Lamprecht died with his wife at his side on January 16, 2026, in Marshall, Minnesota, just 26 days after his 73rd birthday. He was a loving husband, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed and remembered forever.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Lamprecht of Marshall; sister, Carol Gannon of Des Moines, IA; brother, John (and Paula) Lamprecht of Hutchison, KS, with niece, Stacy Bartholomew; sister-in-law, Toni (and John) Peterson of Cedar, MN, with nephews, Graydon, Drew, Blake; brother-in-law, Kevin (and Zoe) Stone of Cedar, MN; sister-in-law, Doris Lamprecht of Brownton, MN, with nieces and nephews, Rhonda, Ron, Rick, Jennifer; other relatives and many friends.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Hilco and Alvera (Kemnitz) Lamprecht.
