Anita DeSchepper was born November 13, 1955 to Cecil J. and Jo-Ann M. (Nelson) Meyer in Springfield, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith and graduated from Tracy Area High School. On April 12, 1975, Anita married the love of her life, Charlie DeSchepper, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy. The couple resided in Tracy, where they raised their family. Anita worked as a waitress for most of her life, she would serve people at Red Rooster, Mediterranean Club, Shay’s, and Walnut Grove Bar & Grill. She also worked at Avera Optometry, where she assisted a large amount of the community. Anita and Charlie loved traveling; a memorable destination for them was Cozumel, Mexico, where they enjoyed relaxing on the beach. Anita enjoyed her weekly get-togethers with her friends and going to the pool with her family. She cherished her community and was someone you could always count on if you needed help. Her family enjoyed the spontaneous recipes she would create; one she would make often was her famous bagel dip. You could often find her sitting on her front porch or reading a book. Anita loved spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren at their sporting events and activities.

Anita is survived by her husband Charles; children: Joe (April) DeSchepper and Krista (Matt) Loftness; grandchildren: Aliyah Loftness and Trevor & Levi DeSchepper; brother Bart (Susan) Meyer; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law Harold & Rose DeSchepper and infant brother.
