Stephen Ourada

WALNUT GROVE — Services for Stephen G. Ourada, 83, of Walnut Grove will be at 11 a.m. Monday at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove with a livestream on St. Olaf Lutheran Church Facebook Page. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Walnut Grove Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Walnut Grove Fire Department. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at Sunrise Manor in Tyler.

He was born Dec. 28, 1939, to Lad and Mae (Harlan) Ourada in Tracy. In 1963, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He trained as a combat engineer at Fort Leonardwood, MO and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He received his honorable discharge in June 1965.

Survivors include his wife, Bette; children, Renee Ourada of Minnetrista and Stephen of Laramie, Wyoming; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; stepmother, Beatrice Ourada of Spicer.
