Brenda Louise “Weezie” Platt

Brenda passed away at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the age of 71. Following high school Brenda enlisted in the United States Air Force where she served stateside and in England.  Survivors include her partner of 38 years, Terry Rupp of Iona, MN, and eight siblings.  She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Platt, mother, Babe and Pat “Mick” McCormick, and parents- in-law, John and Helen Rupp. Graveside services with military honors accorded by the Wilmont VFW Post will be on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at St. Columba Cemetery in Iona, MN at 1:30 p.m. with a celebration of Brenda’s life to follow at St. Columba Hall in Iona from 2-4.  Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton, MN is entrusted with arrangements.  To view online obituary and send condolences visit totzkefuneralhome.com
