Jackie Lynn Keplinger was born Jan. 12, 1954, in Marshall to William and Mildred (Rohrs) Keplinger. Jackie was baptized and confirmed in her faith at First English Lutheran Church in Marshall. She was raised with love by Charles and Mildred “Tweet” Muller in Marshall, graduating with the class of 1972. Jackie then attended Granite Falls Tech, graduating in 1973, with training to be a legal secretary.

Jackie met the love of her life, Ed Bauman, and married him on Aug. 14, 1992. With this marriage, Jackie had the distinct privilege of gaining Ed’s three children. She loved all children and especially treasured Ed’s kids. The couple made a beautiful life together, enjoying their kids and their favorite pets, Anastasia, Auggie, and Champ. Jackie worked as an administrative assistant for various companies in Marshall including Schwan’s, Southwest Service Co-Op, and Best Business Products. She retired in April of 2008.

Jackie loved music; she was known to play guitar, piano, and accordion and sang beautifully. She even did a stint as the lead singer for the band, Four Wheel Drive. She especially loved ’50s and ’60s music. Jackie was a social butterfly, loving to spend time with friends, and was known for her loving and giving heart. She cherished spending time with her family above all else. Jackie is remembered for having a “No Parents Allowed” weekend with her nieces and nephews and hosted many other family events.

Jackie and Ed enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and being together. She was also highly creative: drawing, painting pictures, and writing poems.

Jackie will be truly missed.
