Denis Schneider

SLAYTON — Services for Denis Marvin Schneider, 91, of Fulda, at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. Burial is at Prairie Hill Cemetery in Fulda. Military honors accorded by the Avoca American Legion Post. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements. He died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda.

He was born Jan. 2, 1927, on a farm in Rosehill Township, Cottonwood County, to Frederick and Emma (Wenzel) Schneider. He entered the United States Navy at the age of 17 and served at Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Illinois until he received a medical discharge.

Survivors include his brother, Marvin of San Leandro, Calif.; and sisters, Beverly Ewy of Watertown, S.D., Peggy McKlemurry of Ocala, Fla., and Donna Lindau of Wyoming, Minn.
