Holiday Cheer Dec. 13

The Southwest Minnesota Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Daniel Rieppel, will perform at 7 p.m. "Holiday Cheer" Thursday, Dec. 13, at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. The church is located at 503 West Lyon St. There will be a reception following the concert in Carlin Hall, located in the church basement, where refreshments will be served. The concert is a fund-raiser for the Southwest Minnesota Orchestra. It is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.

Fall Festival of Song Saturday

SMSU voice students will perform “Fall Festival of Song” at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. Voice student presentations will include music from many different styles, including opera, art song, folk music and musical theatre. The concert is free and open to the public. First Lutheran is located at 100 Church St. in Marshall.

Pancake breakfast at Holy Redeemer

Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast is from 8 a.m.-noon Sunday at Carlin Hall in Holy Redeemer Church. The knights will serve pancakes, sausages and eggs for a free will donation.

Thanksgiving meal offered at Armory

A Thanksgiving community meal is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the National Guard Armory in Marshall. Call 507-532-3187 before 5 p.m. Tuesday to carry out a meal or to have a meal delivered if homebound.
