Trial dates changed for arson case

MARSHALL — A trial for a man charged with arson has been rescheduled to March, Lyon County District Court records said. Moises Reyes, 29, appeared in court for a settlement conference on Tuesday. Last month, Reyes pleaded not guilty to charges of first degree arson. A criminal complaint alleges that in July, Reyes set his mother’s house in Florence on fire. At Tuesday’s hearing, Reyes’ attorney withdrew a demand for a speedy trial, and also requested that the settlement conference be continued to a later date. Suspected injury in truck/ATV crash

WALNUT GROVE — A Walnut Grove resident was transported to the hospital after a truck collided with an all-terrain vehicle in Walnut Grove on Monday afternoon, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office said. Around 4:28 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office, Walnut Grove Ambulance and Fire were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Bedal Street and Third Street.
