MARSHALL – A Montevideo man, 54, was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in a traffic related incident reported at 9:59 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of South O’Connell Street and Minnesota Highway 23, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

RUSSELL – The scene of a public disturbance incident reported at 2:43 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of 1st Street was quiet when deputies arrived, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

COTTONWOOD – An India man, 59, was arrested and cited for careless driving and was brought to the Law Enforcement Center in a pursuit incident reported at 2:03 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Lyon Redwood Road and Lyon County Road 24, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

COTTONWOOD – A report was sent to the County Attorney for consideration of terroristic threats charges on a Cottonwood man, 43, in a threat incident reported at 10:59 a.m. Friday on the 200 block of East 2nd Street South, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

Accidents

LYND – An accident involving a deer was reported at 10:17 p.m. Saturday on the 1800 block of Camden Park Road, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

MARSHALL – A Marshall woman, was injured in a crash reported at 9:58 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Lyon County Road 20 and U.S. Highway 59, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said. Amanda Benson received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance when here 2007 Chevy struck a plow attached to a John Deere tractor driven by a Marshall man, 63, the Sheriff’s Department said. The plow received minor damage and the Chevy was totalled, the Sheriff’s Department said. North Memorial Ambulance and Marshall Fire assisted at the scene, the Sheriff’s Department said.
