Courts for June 23

MARSHALL – Julio Cesar Hernandez, 20, of Worthington, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 17 on charges of first degree burglary – liability for crimes of another, theft of a firearm – liability for crimes of another, first degree criminal property damage – liability for crimes of another and ineligible possession of a firearm. A complaint alleges Hernandez or an accomplice drove a vehicle through the front of Borch’s Sporting Goods in Marshall and stole firearms on Oct. 30. A plea hearing was continued to July 8.

MARSHALL – James Paul Yurrick, 48, of Minneota, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 17 on two counts of criminal sexual conduct charges and fifth degree criminal sexual conduct charges. A complaint alleges Yurrick sexually abused a victim under the age of 16 between 2011 and June 2014. A hearing was set for July 1.

MARSHALL – Rex Alan Swanson, 19, of Watertown, S.D., appeared in Lyon County District Court June 17 on charges of possession of stolen property and third degree criminal property damage. A complaint alleges Swanson was in possession of a stolen car in Minneota on June 3 and broke a window in the car. A hearing was set for July 1.

MARSHALL – Kathryn Louise Hill, 31, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 17 on charges of third degree driving while impaired. A complaint alleges Hill drove while under the influence of drugs in Marshall on March 26 and had a prior DWI in 2013. A hearing was set for July 15.

MARSHALL – Tony Jason Eriksen, 36, of Morgan, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 17 on charges of first degree attempted arson, second degree attempted arson and second degree burglary. A complaint alleges Eriksen placed flammable materials inside the baseboard heaters of a Lyon County residence on March 13, 2011. A hearing was set for July 29.

MARSHALL – William Jeremy Wright Patterson, 25, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 17 on charges of aiding an offender. A complaint alleges Patterson allowed a person being sought by law enforcement to hide in his apartment in Marshall on March 4. A hearing was continued to July 1.

MARSHALL – Michelle Cathleen Holter, 38, of Balaton, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 17 on two counts of first degree driving while impaired charges, three counts of criminal vehicular injury charges and charges of driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety. A complaint alleges Holter drove while impaired in Lyon County on March 14, which led to a one-vehicle crash that injured her passenger. A hearing was set for July 29.
